I like it!

Houses of the Holy was on the list. Almost any Zeppelin album cover is considered iconic. The Led Zeppelin III vinyl had spin wheels on it which was pretty unique at that time. Houses is awesome, Physical Graffiti is pretty cool too. I went with 1 just because it was the original. Plus, it has a Zeppelin that helped contribute to taking the name. Gotta love that.

I came up with a few more too - but those were my Top 5 for now. I'm sure I could think of 20 others too.

Thanks for the post! The B Sidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04949226362130714268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7798374127914540817.post-64302249529882747242010-10-26T13:30:26.448-05:002010-10-26T13:30:26.448-05:00B-Side you are a genius. Good thing Firefox has the automatic spell check :)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/16/Elton_John_-_Captain_Fantastic_and_the_Brown_Dirt_Cowboy.jpg

I'm so glad you did this. If I had to pick one album cover off the bat that strikes me the most, it would most defiantly be Elton Johns Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy. That cover artwork has a million different things just oozing off of it at once. I'm an artsy person to begin with and when I first saw this I didn't know what to think. Granted I was only about 11 or 12 my first introduction. As I grew older I started looking at it more and more and more. Its this big boiling pot of fantasy art/controlled chaos somehow contained in a square that looks like at any moment it may explode. Elton John is straddled on his piano and portrayed as the ringleader of this funky scene. I feel the cover provided great insight regarding the content of the album. I'm tellin ya, dude was struggling during this point in his career. I have to say this is truly a slammin album. Double thumbs up to Elton on this one.

You have me searching through my moms albums to find something else - good job :)

I found and album she has from Led Zeppelin: House of Holy. I know nothing of this record. The cover art seemed intriguing enough to list it. I may have to listen to it though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HOTHcover.JPGihadsomelagearshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13719329335717974665noreply@blogger.com
