She Wants Revenge - Self Titled

So I learned about She Wants Revenge back in 2006 when iTunes unleashed the 'Tear You Apart' single as the freebie of the week. Small rant here - people really bag on iTunes because they used to have DRM's on all the music and now because it's DRM free, but some tracks cost 1.29 instead of the standard .99 cents. Well I think iTunes is still setting the standard of legal downloading out there. Sure, some tracks are more expensive, but the DRM free is nice - and they do cool stuff like put out a couple free songs, music videos and TV shows every so often. The music is nice - because it's a way to learn about new exciting talent. I got to learn about these guys, The Fray and a handful of others just by listening to free music. Not shabby. Well anyway, SWR is a punkish type rock band that has only put out a couple records. The duo is still together - but from the best I can tell not putting out new tunes. This particular record is really a different bag. It spans a few genres and has a totally different feel to it than most anything else out there. I don't groove on it very often, but on the rare occasion I toss it on and give it a go. I can't even seem to come up with words to describe how the arrangement flows, as it's really all over the board. The best I can say is, check this album out. It may not be for you, but you'll never know until you try it.
